These policies are intended to be read in conjunction with applicable laws of India, including (as amended from time to time) the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as well as any other sector-specific regulations that may apply. This text is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for independent legal advice.

1. Scope of Job Listings

Koovira's job portal features connect employers, recruiters and candidates. Koovira acts as an intermediary platform and does not guarantee any specific job outcomes, interviews or employment offers. All employment relationships formed through the Platform are strictly between the employer and the candidate.

2. Prohibited and Sensitive Job Listings

The following categories of job listings are strictly prohibited on Koovira:

  • positions involving illegal activities or non‑compliant business models (including certain pyramid schemes, fake data entry schemes and other fraudulent opportunities);
  • jobs related to explicit adult content, exploitation, or human trafficking;
  • roles that promote or facilitate illegal acts under Indian law.

3. Non-Discrimination and Fair Practices

Employers and recruiters must comply with applicable labour and anti‑discrimination laws in India. Job postings should not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of gender, religion, caste, disability or other protected characteristics, except where a legitimate occupational requirement is recognised by law and is clearly stated.

4. Candidate Fee Protection

Koovira discourages any upfront fees or payments demanded from candidates in exchange for employment opportunities. Where applicable laws restrict or regulate the charging of fees to job seekers, employers and recruiters using Koovira must comply with such requirements.

Note: This Job Portal Policy is a general template intended to shift legal and compliance responsibility to employers and recruiters, and should be reviewed and customised by qualified employment counsel in India.
