These policies are intended to be read in conjunction with applicable laws of India, including (as amended from time to time) the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as well as any other sector-specific regulations that may apply. This text is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for independent legal advice.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Dating Safety Policy outlines important safety considerations for using Koovira's dating and social interaction features. While Koovira provides tools to connect users, we cannot guarantee the behaviour or intentions of other individuals. This Policy is intended to protect Koovira and TRISHARA VENTURES LLP while guiding users towards safer practices.

2. Prohibited Uses of Dating Features

Dating features on Koovira are intended solely for lawful, consensual social interactions. They must not be used for:

  • offering, soliciting or promoting escort services, commercial sexual exploitation, pornography or prostitution;
  • any form of human trafficking, exploitation or abuse;
  • arranging or facilitating illegal activities, including distribution of illegal substances;
  • harassing, stalking, blackmailing or otherwise intimidating other users.

3. Online Safety Guidelines

  • Do not share sensitive data such as passwords, OTPs, bank or card details, address proofs, or copies of identity documents through chat.
  • Be cautious when a match quickly asks you to move to off‑platform channels or requests money, favours or explicit content.
  • Be alert to red flags such as inconsistent stories, refusal to show their face on video (where reasonable) or pressure for fast commitments.

4. Offline Meeting Safety

  • Choose public, well‑lit places for initial meetings and inform a trusted friend or family member of your plans, including time and location.
  • Arrange your own transportation and avoid sharing your home address until you feel sufficiently comfortable and have built trust.
  • Exercise caution with alcohol or other substances that may impair your judgment.
  • Keep your personal belongings secure, especially in unfamiliar environments.

5. Reporting and Koovira's Role

If you experience or witness suspicious, abusive, harassing or illegal conduct in the context of dating features, you should discontinue contact with the person, use the in‑Platform reporting tools, and consider blocking the user. In emergencies or if you believe anyone is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement or emergency services first, then inform Koovira.

Koovira may review reports in line with our Content Moderation Policy and may suspend or terminate user accounts where serious or repeated violations occur. However, Koovira is not responsible for investigating or prosecuting criminal matters; that responsibility lies with relevant authorities.

Note: This Dating Safety Policy is intended as guidance. It favours Koovira and TRISHARA VENTURES LLP by clarifying limitations of responsibility and emphasising user caution. It should not be treated as exhaustive safety advice or a substitute for professional or law enforcement guidance.
