Founders of Om Vidyalankar Shikshan Sanstha Om Vidyalankar Shikshan Sanstha’s Asmita College of Arts and Commerce, Junior College for Women established in 1989 mainly to focus on knowledge and women’s education. Knowing the fact that, women’s education in India has been a need of the hour and education is a foundation stone for the empowerment of women, this institution was further extended to the Degree College in 1992. The institution is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and offers self-financed, undergraduate courses like degree in B.Sc. (I. T.) and B. Sc. (Computer Science), (Co-Education). Om Vidyalankar Shikshan Sanstha’s Utkrsha Bal Mandir School was founded by Late Madhukar Bhagwan Narvekar Sir in and honourable Mrs. Anupama Narvekar in 1971. Being highly proficient and a visionary, he started this institution with merely five students in 1971 and today college is imparting education to more than 3000 students.
