Anti-Harassment Policy

30) Anti-Harassment Policy
How Koovira defines harassment, what is prohibited, how to report or block someone, and how reports are reviewed and acted on.
1. Scope and applicability
Legal entityTrishara Ventures LLP operates Koovira as a multi-module digital platform.
Effective date05/06/2026. Last reviewed: 05/06/2026.
People coveredVisitors, registered users, merchants, service providers, delivery and driver partners, and admins — across every Koovira module, including the social feed, chat, dating, matrimonial, e-commerce, food, hotels, jobs, classifieds, real estate and cab services.
Where it appliesAnywhere behaviour reaches another person through Koovira: posts, comments, reels and stories, direct and group chat, profiles and display names, listings and their descriptions, reviews and ratings, job and candidate messages, dating and matrimonial interactions, and support or grievance channels.
Relationship to other policiesThis policy sits alongside the Community Guidelines, the Content Moderation Policy, the Social Network Policy, the Dating Safety Policy and the Trust & Safety Policy. Where a module policy sets a stricter rule for that module, the stricter rule applies.
AcceptanceUsing the platform, sending a message, posting content, creating a listing or onboarding as a merchant or partner confirms acceptance of this policy.
2. What Koovira treats as harassment
Core definitionUnwelcome conduct directed at a person that a reasonable person would find intimidating, humiliating, degrading, threatening or persistently unwanted. Harassment does not have to be repeated, and it does not have to be intended as harm, to breach this policy.
Harassment and bullyingTargeted insults, mockery, pile-ons, unwanted persistent contact after a person has disengaged or blocked, and coordinated campaigns against an individual.
Threats and violenceThreatening a person with physical harm, threatening their family, or encouraging or glorifying violence against them.
Hate and identity-based abuseAttacking or demeaning a person on the basis of religion, caste, community, region, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics, including religious abuse.
Sexual harassmentUnwanted sexual advances, sexually explicit messages or media sent without consent, sexual comments about a person's body or appearance, and pressuring someone for sexual content or contact.
Blackmail and extortionThreatening to publish, forward or expose a person's images, chats, dating activity, identity or personal information in order to extract money, content, contact or compliance.
Exposing personal informationPublishing or circulating another person's private details — address, phone number, identity documents, workplace, private photographs or chat logs — without their consent.
Impersonation and fake profilesPosing as another person, or building a profile designed to deceive, in order to contact, discredit or pressure someone.
Child safetyAny sexualised content involving, or contact directed at, a minor is treated as the most serious category on the platform and is never subject to a warning-first approach.
3. Prohibited conduct
Do not do thisYou must not harass, bully, threaten, sexually harass, blackmail, impersonate or dox any person through Koovira, in any module, in public content or in private messages.
Evading a blockIf someone blocks you, do not attempt to reach them again through a second account, a sub-profile, a different module, a business account, a listing enquiry or a third party.
Using platform features as a weaponDo not use reviews, ratings, listing enquiries, job applications, endorsements, group invites or the report system itself to target, punish or pressure a person. Deliberately false or retaliatory reports are a breach of this policy.
Commercial contextsMerchants, employers, recruiters, agents, drivers and delivery partners must not use a transaction, a booking, an application or a service visit as an opening for personal or sexual contact, or pressure a customer or candidate for contact details, meetings or content outside the service.
Dating and matrimonialTreat a match as consent to converse, nothing more. Do not send sexual content without consent, do not press for personal identity details, and do not carry a dating interaction into another module or another person's public profile.
Bystander conductAmplifying, resharing or organising around harassing content is treated the same as originating it.
4. Protecting yourself and reporting
BlockingKoovira provides block controls, and blocking is honoured across the surfaces where the two accounts would otherwise meet — chat and message requests, friend and connection requests, feed visibility and dating. Blocking is available to you at any time and you do not need a reason.
In-product reportingReport options are built into the surfaces where harassment happens, including posts and comments, chat messages, profiles, listings and classifieds, jobs, events, reviews and dating content. A report records what you reported, where, why and any detail you add.
Formal grievanceYou can raise a formal complaint under the category Harassment / Abuse on our Grievance page. The complaint is registered, given a reference, and its live status is visible to you on that page.
Dating separationYour Koovira dating identity is a separate profile with its own display name and is protected by a dating PIN, so a dating interaction does not expose your main account. A dating report is handled without linking your dating activity to your public or professional profile.
EvidenceInclude the date and time, the account or content involved, and any screenshots or references you have. Do not delete the underlying chat or post before reporting — it helps the review, and we do not require you to keep engaging with the person to preserve it.
Serious and urgent riskIf there is an immediate threat to someone's physical safety, contact your local police or the appropriate emergency service first. Koovira is not an emergency service. Report it to us as well so we can act on the account.
Reporting on someone's behalfYou may report harassment you witness against another person. You do not have to be the target to report it.
5. How Koovira reviews a harassment report
Case creationA report becomes a moderation case carrying the reported content, the reason, the context and any supporting signals, so a reviewer sees the same picture you did.
Severity gradingHarassment categories are graded by severity. Harassment, threats, hate speech, religious abuse, blackmail and extortion, and exposure of sensitive personal information are handled as high severity; self-harm and child-unsafe content are handled as critical.
AI assists, people decideAutomated screening may summarise, categorise and prioritise a case, and may hold content pending review. For harassment categories the final action is taken by a human reviewer. Child-unsafe content is blocked automatically on detection because the risk of waiting is unacceptable.
Right of replyWhere a case is opened against an account, that account can be given a window to respond and submit its own explanation and evidence before a final action is taken, except where the severity or the risk to a person makes immediate action necessary.
Interim protectionWhile a case is open, Koovira may hide or restrict the content, limit contact between the accounts, or restrict the reported account. An interim step is protective, not a finding of guilt.
RecordsReports, case actions, reviewer notes, removed content and the reasons for a decision are retained for investigation, dispute handling, repeat-behaviour detection and legal compliance, in line with the Data Retention Policy.
6. Outcomes, repeat behaviour and appeals
Possible actionsDepending on severity, history and evidence: a warning; removal or hiding of the post, comment, chat message, listing or review; blocking of the message; restriction of a feature such as messaging, posting or dating; suspension of the account; or permanent removal. Merchant, partner and driver accounts may additionally be delisted or have their onboarding withdrawn.
ProportionalityKoovira aims to act at the lowest level that actually stops the behaviour. Severity, whether the target is identifiable, whether the conduct was repeated after a block, and prior cases against the account are all weighed.
Repeat behaviourRepeated cases against the same account escalate, and creating a new account or a sub-profile to continue the behaviour is treated as an aggravating breach in its own right.
If you are reportedYou will be told what was actioned and under which category. You can submit your side through the case response window where one is offered, and you can appeal an outcome through our Grievance page.
Human review of automated actionIf content or an account restriction resulted from automated screening, you can ask for a human review. This right is described in our AI Transparency policy and is available through the Grievance Officer.
No retaliationRetaliating against a person for making a good-faith report — on or off the platform — is itself a breach and is actioned as harassment.
7. Grievances, privacy and legal requests
Grievance officerHarassment complaints, appeals and escalations may be raised through our Grievance Officer page or the in-app report flows. Officer contact details are published on that page and maintained in Koovira admin settings.
TimelinesKoovira targets the acknowledgement and resolution timelines published on the Grievance Officer page, subject to complexity, evidence checks and lawful process.
ConfidentialityThe identity of a reporter is not disclosed to the reported account as part of the routine review. It may have to be disclosed where the law, a court or a competent authority requires it, or where the complaint cannot be answered without it.
Your data rightsYou can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and manage your consents, from the Privacy Center, subject to identity verification and to records Koovira is required to retain.
Legal requestsKoovira may act on valid court, government, law-enforcement, CERT-In or authorised agency requests in accordance with applicable law, and may preserve relevant records for that purpose.
Workplace harassment[FOUNDER TO CONFIRM] — the route for complaints involving employees, contractors or interns of Trishara Ventures LLP (as distinct from platform users) is to be confirmed and published here. Until then, such complaints may be raised through the Grievance page.
This policy is part of Koovira's India compliance framework under the Information Technology Act, 2000, IT Rules, 2021/2023, DPDP Act, 2023, CERT-In directions and applicable consumer/payment rules. It should be read with the Terms, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Content Moderation Policy, Dating Safety Policy, Grievance Officer page and module-specific policies.
