Child Safety Standards
32) Child Safety Standards
Published statement of how Koovira complies with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) across every user-to-user surface on the platform.
| 1. Scope and applicability | |
|---|---|
| Legal entity | Trishara Ventures LLP operates Koovira as a multi-module digital platform in India. |
| Effective date | 05/06/2026. Last reviewed: 05/06/2026. |
| What this policy covers | How Koovira prevents, detects and acts on content and conduct that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a minor — across posts, chat, communities, dating, matrimonial, listings, reviews and every other surface where users interact with each other on Koovira. |
| People covered | Visitors, registered users, merchants, service providers, delivery and driver partners, and admins. |
| Relationship to other policies | These standards sit alongside Koovira's Community Guidelines, Content Moderation Policy, Social Network Policy, Dating Safety Policy, Anti-Harassment Policy and Trust & Safety Policy. Where any policy sets a stricter rule for a module, the stricter rule applies. |
| 2. Zero tolerance | |
|---|---|
| Child sexual abuse material | Koovira does not permit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — real, generated or edited — in any form on any surface. |
| Grooming and solicitation | Adult contact that pressures, befriends or coerces a minor into sexual conversation, images or offline contact is prohibited. |
| Sextortion | Threatening to publish or share images of a minor to extract money, content or compliance is prohibited. |
| Trafficking and facilitation | Trafficking, solicitation or facilitation of child sexual exploitation is prohibited. |
| No warning-first approach | Child-unsafe content is never subject to a warning-first approach; the first action is removal and account action. |
| 3. Age gate | |
|---|---|
| Intended audience | Koovira is intended for users aged 18 and above. |
| Account creation | Account creation requires an age declaration. Attempting to misrepresent age to access the platform or specific modules is a breach of this policy. |
| India accounts (DPDP) | India accounts are governed by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which requires verifiable parental consent for users below the local age of majority. Koovira applies that requirement to accounts within scope. |
| Higher local ages | Where country law requires a higher age for a given module (for example dating or financial services), that higher age applies. |
| 4. In-app reporting | |
|---|---|
| Report on every surface | Users can report any post, message, profile, listing or review for child safety concerns directly from the item itself. |
| Highest-severity queue | Reports flagged for child safety are treated as the highest-severity category and are handled ahead of general moderation queues. |
| Blocking | Users can block any other user at any time; a block is honoured across chat, requests, feed visibility and dating. |
| Reporting on someone's behalf | You may report content you witness; you do not have to be the target to report it. |
| 5. Standards against CSAE | |
|---|---|
| Sexualised depictions | Content and conduct that sexualises a minor — including sexualised imagery (real, generated or edited), text, voice or stickers — is prohibited and removed on detection. |
| Grooming | Adult contact that pressures, befriends or coerces a minor into sexual conversation, images or offline contact is prohibited. |
| Sextortion | Sextortion and threats to publish or share images of a minor are prohibited. |
| Trafficking | Trafficking, solicitation or facilitation of child sexual exploitation is prohibited. |
| 6. Enforcement actions | |
|---|---|
| Immediate takedown | Immediate takedown of the content and suspension of every account involved. |
| Device and account hash | Device and account hash recorded to block repeat sign-ups by the same actor. |
| Preservation | Preservation of the material and metadata as required by Indian law and Google Play policy, so a lawful authority can act on it. |
| Reporting to authorities | Where the Indian IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules and other applicable laws require, the material is reported to law enforcement and to the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through recognised channels. |
| 7. Prevention and training | |
|---|---|
| Moderator briefing | Koovira's moderation team is briefed on current CSAE/CSAM categories and on the required reporting workflow. |
| Queue tuning | Internal reviews run periodically to tune the automated and human triage queues for child safety reports so these cases jump the queue in practice, not only on paper. |
| AI assists, people decide | Automated screening may hold or restrict content pending review. For child-unsafe content the first action is automatic because the risk of waiting is unacceptable; a human reviewer closes out the case. |
| 8. In-app contact for child safety | |
|---|---|
| Users and partners can contact Koovira about child safety concerns at support@koovira.com. The designated point of contact is Koovira's Grievance Officer. | |
| Grievance Officer | Officer details are published in the Privacy Policy and on the Grievance Officer page, and are kept in sync with Koovira admin settings. |
| In-app report flow | The in-app Report option on every surface is the fastest channel; a report is logged with its content, context and reporter. |
These standards are part of Koovira's India compliance framework under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021/2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, CERT-In directions and applicable consumer rules. They should be read with the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Community Guidelines, Content Moderation Policy, Dating Safety Policy, Anti-Harassment Policy and Trust & Safety Policy.
