AI Transparency
AI Transparency
Koovira uses automated systems and a local-first AI assistant to keep the platform safe, useful and fast. This page explains, in plain terms, how we use AI.
What we use AI for
- Safety & content moderation (detecting prohibited or harmful content).
- Search, recommendations and feed ranking.
- Assisted support answers and knowledge lookup.
- Duplicate detection and quality checks for listings.
Our principles
- Local-first. Core AI runs on our own infrastructure using rule-based and open models; we do not sell your personal data, and we do not hand it to third-party vendors to train their models.
- Human oversight. Significant moderation actions can be reviewed by a person, and you can appeal.
- Editable rules. Much of our automation is driven by transparent, administrator-maintained rules rather than opaque black boxes.
Your choices
You can disconnect optional integrations, request access to or deletion of your data, and contact our Grievance Officer (details below) about any automated decision that affects you.
More of our AI commitments
Fairness. We build our AI to serve everyone equally. We review our rules and models for patterns that could unfairly disadvantage anyone by gender, religion, caste, region, language or ability, and we fix them when we find them — AI is used to assist people, never to quietly rank or exclude them.
Accuracy, with honest limits. AI can be wrong. Suggestions, summaries, translations, generated text or images, and automated matches are aids — not final truth. Please verify anything important (prices, bookings, legal, medical or financial details) before relying on it, and we keep a person in the loop for decisions that materially affect you.
You can contest an automated decision. If an AI action affects you — a removed post, a verification result, a match or ranking — you can ask why, request a human review, and appeal through our Grievance Officer, who responds within the timelines required under applicable law.
