CareerLab Program Terms & Conditions
Koovira CareerLab — Program Terms & Conditions
Scope. These terms govern participation in Koovira CareerLab ("CareerLab"), a remote-first industry-experience and professional-development program operated on the Koovira platform. They apply in addition to the Koovira Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Payment & Wallet Policy and Loyalty / Rewards Policy, which continue to apply to your account and wallet.
1. Nature of the program
CareerLab is a structured experience and skill-development program. It is not employment, not an offer of employment, not an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and not a wage-earning engagement. Participation creates no employer–employee relationship with Koovira. No stipend, salary, job, internship placement or income is guaranteed. All monetary rewards are discretionary, performance-verified program incentives governed by these terms.
2. Eligibility
CareerLab is open only to persons pursuing or holding graduation-level education or higher — specifically diploma, graduation, post-graduation or professional degrees. Applicants must provide accurate current education details (institution, course, specialization and year/roll or enrolment number), which Koovira may verify. Providing false or incomplete education details ends the application or enrolment without refund. Participants must be legally competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
3. Programs, levels and fees
CareerLab currently offers three levels. Duration and fees are shown before enrolment and are subject to change from the CareerLab admin:
- CareerLab Starter — free, approximately 2 weeks, foundational tasks and a discipline mini-project. Enrolment is recorded as a zero-value order.
- CareerLab Professional — a paid industry-experience program (currently ₹4,999), approximately 8 weeks, with mentor interaction, a real project, weekly assignments and a portfolio output.
- CareerLab Accelerator — an advanced paid program (currently ₹9,999), approximately 10–12 weeks, with advanced projects, leadership responsibilities and a final presentation.
Fees are GST-inclusive and charged through the central Koovira payment system: money is first added to your Koovira Wallet via the platform's authorised gateways (e.g. Razorpay) and the program fee is then paid from the Wallet (wallet-first). A tax invoice is issued centrally for every paid enrolment. Where an earned scholarship is available and configured, it applies automatically as a percentage discount on the fee.
4. How your work is structured
CareerLab is discipline-first: your daily work is generated from your education, specialization, career interest, level, location and past performance from an admin-approved task library — the platform personalises context (city, category, dataset, difficulty, deadline) but does not invent unrestricted tasks. Your day combines:
- Daily assigned tasks — a small set each day (typically 3 in Starter and 4 in the paid programs), matched to your track.
- Fixed jobs — recurring professional duties such as creating posts, meaningful chats, referral activity, business-discovery leads and a daily learning activity, plus weekly deliverables such as original blogs and a market-research note. Each fixed job has a target, per-unit XP and a maximum XP per period.
- Projects and missions — larger discipline-specific assignments that build your portfolio.
Being remote-first, your activity is tracked as digital work attendance (login, task activity, submissions and completion) rather than physical attendance, and consistent daily activity builds a streak. Missing work triggers reminders and, if persistent, performance impact and mentor/admin review.
5. Task and job verification
Rewards follow verification, never mere submission. Depending on the task or job, verification is automatic (system reads genuine Koovira activity), by submission (evidence you upload), or by mentor / content review. Original-content jobs (e.g. weekly blogs) must be your own work: they pass a content-integrity check (which may use Bramha AI to flag likely AI-generated or copied text) and mentor review before XP is awarded. Daily and weekly XP caps apply per job. Poor-quality, artificial, duplicated or spam activity earns nothing and may be reviewed for fraud.
6. XP, rewards and commissions
XP measures verified participation and performance; it is not money and is not convertible to cash on demand. Wallet rewards from tasks and jobs, and any merchant commissions where applicable, are credited only after verification and approval, and are subject to program limits, lock periods, quality checks and fraud review. All wallet credits follow the central Koovira Wallet rules, including the earned-credit redemption cap and expiry. Self-referral, fake leads, duplicate accounts, referral farming and any manipulation of XP, rewards or commissions earn nothing and may end the program without refund.
7. Program benefits
Selected CareerLab programs may include complimentary benefits — for example a period of TheGym membership and a grant of Bramha AI credits. The exact inclusions and amounts are those displayed on the program page at the time of enrolment and are activated per program by Koovira; they may be added, changed or withdrawn prospectively. Complimentary benefits are non-refundable, non-transferable and carry no cash value, and TheGym membership grants are provisioned through the central Koovira membership system.
8. Performance, certificates and LOR
Performance is calculated from verified work (completion, quality and consistency, weighted per track) — not from XP or payment. Certificates are issued automatically only on verified completion and the applicable performance minimum for the program (currently 60% for Starter, 65% for Professional and 70% for Accelerator), never for payment alone. Each certificate carries a unique ID and a QR/verification URL. Letters of Recommendation are performance-based, request-and-review, and never guaranteed.
9. Career Passport and opportunities
Every participant receives a digital Career Passport summarising education, track, projects, XP, verified skills, achievements, certificates and eligibility — which you may share with colleges and employers. On completion, an opportunity engine evaluates eligibility for paid internships, freelance projects, Koovira jobs, Campus Ambassador, Growth Associate, City Captain and YEP. These are performance-based considerations, subject to eligibility and availability, and are never guaranteed by enrolment or by purchase of any plan. CareerLab is a separate program from YEP; becoming a City Captain does not by itself confer YEP city-level authority.
10. Institutional (college / placement-cell) participation
Where your college or placement cell participates, students may be linked to an institution and an institutional dashboard may show program participation, completion, average performance, projects, skills and certificates. Institutions see performance data only — never your wallet balance or financial details — unless you explicitly authorise it.
11. Conduct and integrity
Fake leads, fake referrals, plagiarised submissions, undisclosed AI-generated content where original work is required, multiple-account abuse, or any attempt to manipulate XP, rewards, commissions or benefits terminates participation without refund and may attract action under applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000.
12. Intellectual property
Work products created on assigned Koovira projects are licensed to Koovira for platform use; participants retain the right to showcase their contributions in their Career Passport and personal portfolio. Koovira trademarks and platform content remain Koovira's property.
13. Refunds and cancellation
Refunds are governed by the Koovira Refund & Cancellation Policy read with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Because CareerLab delivers digital access, assignments and benefits immediately on enrolment, refund eligibility (if any) is limited to the window and conditions stated in the Refund Policy at the time of purchase. Complimentary benefits already provisioned (e.g. TheGym membership months, Bramha AI credits) are non-refundable and carry no cash value.
14. Data protection (DPDP Act, 2023)
Signup and program data (profile, education, preferences, resume, activity and consent records) are processed as per the Koovira Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, on the lawful basis of the consent you give at enrolment and of performing this program. Consent records preserve the accepted terms version, timestamp, account and technical metadata. Data is retained for the duration reasonably required to run the program, issue and verify certificates and meet legal, tax and audit obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised in line with the Data Retention Policy. You may exercise your DPDP rights (access, correction, nomination, erasure and grievance) through the Koovira Privacy Center.
15. Grievances and disputes
Grievances may be raised through Koovira Support or the Grievance Officer published under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, who responds within the timelines required by applicable law. These terms are governed by Indian law; courts at Koovira's registered jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to remedies available under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
16. Changes
Koovira may update these terms prospectively; the version accepted by each participant at enrolment is preserved. Material changes are notified through the platform.
