Koovira Secure Unboxing · for online sellers

The evidence exists before the claim does

A courier cannot close your delivery without an OTP the buyer generates. The buyer cannot claim damage without recording the unboxing. A refund cannot leave your account until the courier has photographed what came back.

Who this is for: Sellers on Koovira CommerceX who are bleeding margin to "item not received", "empty box" and worn-goods return claims.

You do not have a company yet. Create it once — then switch on this module and any other you run, all under the same company.

Coming from the big marketplaces?

Four things that go wrong there — and what replaces them

Every answer below names the actual screen in your merchant portal that does it. Nothing here is a plan.

On the big marketplaces

"Item not received" is decided for you. The goods are gone, the money is clawed back, and you are never shown a single piece of proof.

The delivery OTP is generated only inside the buyer's own secure receiving page — and that page refuses to issue it until the delivery person has been photographed there. Every display, verification and wrong attempt is written to an audit trail.

On the big marketplaces

"Empty box" or "wrong item" turns up days later as one phone photo you cannot date, place or challenge.

A buyer cannot confirm damaged, wrong product, missing item or tampered package until an unboxing video has been uploaded against that order. Koovira extracts frames from that video and runs each one through moderation.

On the big marketplaces

A worn, swapped or half-empty parcel comes back and the refund has already left your account.

The courier cannot complete a return pickup without four photographs — the product, its packaging, its accessories and the handover. While any one of them is missing, the refund is held.

On the big marketplaces

Money moves on the platform's schedule. You learn about a reversal after it has happened.

Your money is held for a defined 24 working hours after delivery, on a working-day clock that skips Sundays and platform holidays, and then released. An open dispute freezes that release instead of silently reversing you later.

How it works

Five steps from here to live

The same path for every business type — because it is the same company system underneath.

  1. 1

    Create your company

One account owns exactly one company on Koovira — your legal umbrella, one PAN, one owner. Takes a few minutes.

  2. 2

    Activate this module

From your merchant portal, switch this business on. Each module you activate becomes its own business entity under the same company.

  3. 3

    Fill the business profile

Brand name, address, logo, service area, contact. This is what customers see — you control every field.

  4. 4

    Complete KYC

Documents go to Koovira review. Verified status is what unlocks publishing and shows on your public listing.

  5. 5

    Publish and run it

You go live. From then on the whole business runs from one desk — orders, customers, money, team.

Your tools

What you actually get in the portal

These are screens that exist today in the Koovira merchant portal for this module.

See the evidence

  • Delivery overview on an order Open it on any order: the secure receiving link state, the full delivery OTP audit, when unboxing was due and when it finished, and a count of every evidence photo captured on that order, by type.
  • Delivery OTP status Whether the OTP was generated, shown to the buyer, verified by the courier, or locked out after wrong attempts — plus a button to re-notify the customer.
  • Issue evidence viewer The moment a buyer raises a claim, the actual delivery photographs, the unboxing video and the AI moderation verdict open inside that issue for you to look at.

Handle the claim

  • Issues & returns Refunds, returns, cancellations, disputes and support in one queue, with your own reason codes and your own resolution trail.
  • Return inspection photos Attach your own photographs of what actually arrived back, stored against the same order as the courier's pickup photos.
  • Escalate to Koovira Push a claim you cannot settle to Koovira review, with the whole evidence trail already attached to it.

Get paid

  • Settlements What is held, what has been released, and against which orders.
  • Orders Delivery state on every order, including the secure-receiving stages, so you can see exactly where a parcel sits in the chain.
Worth knowing before you sign upFour honest limits. Secure Unboxing runs on orders moving through Koovira delivery or a connected courier — if you ship entirely on your own rails, no secure receiving link is created for that order. Before a claim is raised you see evidence counts and types rather than the images themselves; the actual photographs and the video open once a buyer raises an issue. Automated refunds currently cover wallet-paid orders. And it is on for every eligible order: there is no merchant on/off switch, and no separate secure-delivery analytics screen yet.

Included with every merchant account

The part that is the same whatever you sell

Central systems, one of each. Not one per module, and never a second bill for the same thing.

One company, many businesses

Activate as many modules as you run. They stay separate business entities under one company — not separate accounts, separate logins or separate bills.

One customer database

Contacts from every module land in a single de-duplicated list matched on phone and email, tagged by module. Import from CSV, Excel, paste or your Google contacts.

Your own website

A site builder with pages, gallery, team, blog, FAQ, reviews and lead forms. Publish on a yourname.koovira.com subdomain, connect your own domain, or export the whole site as a ZIP.

Money in one wallet

Every module draws from one company wallet. Invoices, transactions, settlements, ledger and reconciliation are central — no per-module payment setup, ever.

A team with real roles

Add staff, departments and per-module permissions. Owner sees everything; staff see only what you allow. Every module gets its own login code.

Verification that shows

Company KYC and per-module review by Koovira. Verified status is a state on your record, not a badge you buy.

What it costs

The number, before you commit

from ₹299 per month for the CommerceX seller plan that includes this
₹0 one-time activation fee (nothing to pay to switch it on)

Secure Unboxing is not a separate product and carries no separate charge. It is part of the CommerceX seller module — if you sell on Koovira you already have it, on every eligible order, with nothing to switch on. The monthly figure is the cheapest active paid CommerceX seller plan, read live from Koovira's central membership pricing when this page loads. It is the price of selling on Koovira — not a price for Secure Unboxing, which is not sold separately. The one-time activation fee beside it is the cost of switching the seller module on.

Straight answers

The questions sellers actually ask

Including the ones where the answer is “no”.

A buyer says the box was empty. What do I actually have?

If the order went through the secure receiving flow: a photograph of the delivery person taken before any OTP was released, a timestamped OTP audit showing which link generated it and when the courier verified it, and — the moment the buyer claims damage, the wrong item or a missing item — the unboxing video they were required to record before they could make that claim. It all opens inside the issue on your Issues & returns screen.

Can the buyer just skip the unboxing video?

They can skip it, but then they cannot claim against you with it. Confirming a condition of damaged, wrong product, missing item or tampered package is refused outright until an unboxing video has been uploaded against that order.

What stops the courier and the buyer simply colluding?

The OTP is generated only inside the buyer's own page, and only after the delivery person has been photographed there, so the courier never sees it until the buyer reads it out. Wrong attempts are counted and the OTP locks. Every display, verification and failed attempt is recorded with its IP address and user agent. That raises the cost of collusion substantially. It does not make collusion impossible, and Koovira will not tell you otherwise.

Somebody else received my customer's parcel. Is that a hole?

It is a supported flow, not a hole. The buyer nominates an authorised receiver in advance. That person sees the order number masked to its last four characters, must confirm a sealed-parcel checklist, and must photograph the delivery person, the package and the package seal before any OTP is issued — and is told plainly not to open it.

How does this protect me on returns specifically?

The courier cannot complete a return pickup at all without four photographs: the product, its packaging, its accessories, and the handover itself. If even one is missing the pickup is refused and the gap is written onto the order history. The refund then stays blocked until those four exist. You can add your own photos of what actually arrived back.

Do you also prove what I packed and sealed?

No, and this page will not pretend otherwise. Koovira does not capture seller packing evidence today. Everything described here begins at your customer's doorstep and at the return pickup. Packing proof on the seller side is a build we have scoped, not a feature you have.

Create your company once

You do not have a company yet. Create it once — then switch on this module and any other you run, all under the same company.

Run more than one thing?

Add any of these to the same company

Each stays its own business entity with its own profile and its own login code — under one company, one customer list and one wallet.
