Khatabook

Your bahi-khata, without the paper

Keep customer and supplier accounts, record credit sales and payments received, and see who owes what — with every entry dated and traceable.

What you can do

Only what the product does today.

Customer and supplier accounts

One page per party, with the running balance.

Credit sales and payments

Record what was sold on credit and what has been received.

Money payable

Track what you owe suppliers, not only what customers owe you.

Balances and history

Outstanding balance and the full dated transaction history.

Notes and references

Date, note and reference against each entry.

Reminders

Send a payment reminder through the channels your account supports.

What this does not claim. A reminder is a reminder. Sending one does not mark a payment received — the receipt is a separate, dated entry, and the history stays auditable. Khatabook is a record of your business dues; it is not a bank account, a lending service or a payment gateway. Where you also use Koovira POS Billing, the relationship between a bill and a khata entry follows the existing ledger rules rather than creating a second set of books.

How it works

Four or five steps, and what each one actually does.

  1. Sign in as a merchantYour khata opens inside your Koovira account.
  2. Add the partyA customer or a supplier.
  3. Record the entryA credit sale, a payment received, or an amount payable.
  4. Follow upSee the balance and send a reminder when it is due.

Questions

Answered plainly, including the things Koovira does not do.

Can customers see my khata?

No. Balances, phone numbers, supplier records and transaction history are private to your business account.

Does Koovira lend money against my khata?

No. Khatabook is a record of dues, nothing more.

Can I correct a mistake?

Entries stay auditable — a correction is recorded, not erased.
